California native JOSH KNEPPER has been making films for many years. Since moving to Vancouver from Los Angeles in 2007 he has immersed himself in the local film industry, collaborating with other artists through acting, lighting, shooting, editing, and creating digital shorts including THE PRINCE from 2017’s Crazy 8’s, which was nominated for Best Cinematography at the Nice International Film Fest in France. Josh has worked as a cam op on A SERIES OF UNFORTUNATE EVENTS as well as being the DP and part owner of Transposition Films. Josh has taken all of his big-budget knowledge, applied that to the indie world and is eager to share it. He will be providing advice and mentorship to this year’s Short Film Fund recipient and may even DP the film if the recipient so chooses. Josh shoots on a number of RED packages including the RED Weapon 8k and RED Gemini 5k.
BLAKE CORBET was president of Anagram Pictures for ten years, where he produced several feature films including MISSING IN AMERICA (Danny Glover, David Strathairn), FIDO (Carrie-Anne Moss, Billy Connolly, Tim Blake Nelson, Dylan Baker), the hit comedy THE DELICATE ART OF PARKING, which he also co-wrote, and THE THAW (Val Kilmer). He wrote and produced the CTV biopic ELIJAH, winner of the 2009 Gemini Awards for Best TV-Movie/Mini-Series and Best Screenplay. Blake left Anagram Pictures in 2010 to start Blake Corbet Productions, where he has been developing a diverse slate of feature films and dramatic television series.
KATHLEEN KEATINGS is a Vancouver-based actress and Operations Manager of MiTribe Media. An alumnus of the American Conservatory Theatre, New York Film Academy and Vancouver Academy of Dramatic Arts, she established herself in Vancouver with roles in multiple commercials and independent film projects including the feature film CUTIES and the MiTribe co-production THE WHITE ROOM. Kathleen loves to immerse herself in stories and characters and can’t wait to read your scripts!
HENRY CORBET was born in Burnaby B.C. A multi-talented artist, Henry is a writer, director, musician and producer. A graduate of the film program at Capilano University, Henry made his directorial debut with the short film DARK DAY AND NIGHT which received awards of recognition at the IndieFest Film Awards and the Best Shorts Competition. He co-founded MiTribe Media with Rowan Jang and runs MiTribe’s music and film scoring divisions. Henry loves to collaborate with like-minded artists and is stoked to help local filmmakers bring their projects to life!
ROWAN JANG is a founder and co-owner of MiTribe Media. An actor, producer and casting director, Rowan has been involved with multiple independent film productions over the past 5 years including DARK DAY AND NIGHT, THE WHITE ROOM, TESSELLATE, SO CLOSE YET SO FAR, and the web series AGENCY LIFE and SHAM THERAPY. Rowan runs the casting division of MiTribe Media and organizes the company’s monthly table read workshops. Collaborating with Vancouver filmmakers is his passion and he can’t wait to see what stories you have to share!
